Hello everyone! How are you? I’ve been enjoying April
lately! It was one of my best friend’s wedding and of course we had a LOT of
fun! I placed my order for the wet n wild 17 pc. Brush set. I’ve always wanted
o try its brushes as they are not even a dollar.
I ordered
my set with @internationalmakeup_ on Instagram because 1.) She offers the best
prices and 2.) She is one of the kindest souls I’ve met.
PRICE: Originally priced at 28.99 USD, I got it for INR 2950
from @internationalmakeup_
So as soon as the brushes came in, one freakin statement
came into my mind! “You can love them, you can hate them but you cannot ignore
them”. Like look at them, so cute! Plus they feel extremely soft.
Today I’ll be talking about the variety of brushes that came
in the set! The set include almost every essential brush you need for face and
eye! It has 9 face brushes and 8 eye
brushes.
The brushes come in a plastic pouch and I absolutely hated
it. I wish they could have come in a bag or something. The reason I hate the
packaging is it’s literally so compact (like I don’t know what to call it) that
the shape of the brushes got destroyed, especially the face brushes. They
turned out flat when I took them out from the pouch.
Also, I wished the brushes had name on them,
but I don’t mind that. The thing which I like about the packaging is that, the
brushes have a grip, which the brand describes as ergonomic handle and which is
meant for control on the brushes.
The brushes have synthetic bristles and are vegan. So let’s move onto what we have in store!
1. LARGE STIPPLE BRUSH
Feel super soft! The brush has two lengths of fibres,
shorter ones to pick the product and longer to blend in without
streakiness. Out of all the brushes I
had a tough time dealing with this one. The brush came to its original shape,
but the amount of bristles shredded from this is unreal (one could have easily
made an eye brush or any small brush from the amount of bristles that came off)
I tried to pull out the loose bristles and I just hope they are the extras.
2. BLUSH BRUSH
Very soft but it kinda lost it shape a little (it took shape
of a beauty blender, weird right? ). The bristles are intact in this and they
didn’t fall off.
3. FLAT TOP BRUSH
It is one of those brushes I am excited to see how it
performs. It is dense, the bristles as intact and the shape is very fine!
4. POWDER BRUSH
My absolute favourite from the set. It’s so fluffy and soft,
I can’t get over it! Thankfully with god’s blessings it didn’t lose its shape!
5. FOUNDATION BRUSH
Just like a regular flat foundation brush. I faced the
bristles problems with this too, but certainly in a limit!
6. LARGE CONCEALER BRUSH
Perfect shape and size. Very easy to work under the eyes!
7. SMALL CONCEALER BRUSH
Perfect for spot concealing or cleaning brows or mouth area!
8. SMALL STIPPLE BRUSH
This is where my disappoint level reached to the infinity.
The brush lost its shape completely. It got flat from one side. No clue what
use I am gonna make of this one.
9. CONTOUR BRUSH
A perfect angled brush which will sit right on the contours
of the face.
10. FAN BRUSH
The thinnest fan brush I’ve ever seen. I’ve heard people
disliking it for its density, because it doesn’t pick a desired amount of
product. I feel this can be used if you want to highlight on one exact target area.
Let’s see how it works!
11. CREASE BRUSH
Star brush from the eye brushes. Perfect for my eye shape
and super soft!
12. LARGE EYESHADOW BRUSH
A basic fluffy eye shadow brush. Nothing to fancy! (But
definitely a must have for any look)
13. SMALL EYESHADOW BRUSH
Nicely intact bristles and is perfect for small lids or even
hooded eyes!
14. SMOKEY LINER BRUSH
15. BENT LINER BRUSH
A bent liner brush was on my wish list, but I don’t know if
I’ll ever ditch my liquid liners. This looks good for a try!
16. ANGLED LINER BRUSH
Very excited to try this out. Lets see if wing eyeliner is
done more easily!
17. BROW AND LASH COMB
One of those brushes which do not get much attention :P no
clue if I will use it or not. I wish they could have included a spooly instead
of this!
Overall, I love this brush set. Apart from some packing
misses, it’s a perfect starter kit for beginners or even for someone who loves
to hoard. I can’t wait to try them out, wash them and see the real results. Will
keep you updated!
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
LOVE.
