Hello guys!! How are
you all doing? Must be busy in diwali’s safai (:p). First things first, sorry
for bombarding you all with highlighters posts, haha. I love my glow. So while
organising my highlighter stash, I found a very close dupe of cult favorite
champagne pop.
This baby got sold like hot cakes, it got very difficult to find
them in stores, except if you are willing to pay more than the actual retail
price through some trusted re-sellers.

I
also didn’t get the hold of the actual individual pan; I rather took the
limited edition champagne collection face palette ( you can check the full detailed review on the blog). The company included
champagne pop pan in their permanent line, so it’s easy to get hold of it now. The dupe happens to be a new launch by
faces India, the ultime pro illuminating powder. It is a very warm gold peachy
highlighter with sparkles, which is very finely milled and feels soft. Champagne
pop is a lot peachier than faces illuminating powder.
Closer look of champagne pop |
So coming to the dupe part, the formulas of both the products
is different, obviously. Champagne pop feels a lot softer and finer compared to
faces illuminating powder. Champagne pop is a lot more intense than the faces
illuminating powder. But, the best part about the faces illuminating powder is
you can build it up according to your need. It doesn’t looks patchy or made up,
after layering if gives a natural look too.
If you look closely at the swatches you can clearly tell
that Champagne Pop is more intense. The swatches are one swipe of champagne pop
and 2-3 swipes of faces illuminating powder. They both look almost identical on
the skin; you just have to layer faces illuminating powder.
Becca’s Champagne Pop retails for 38USD (almost 2550 INR),
and if you decide to take it through a reseller, it may cost you between
3500-3800 INR. The faces illuminating powder retails for 650 INR, which is 1/4
price of champagne pop. Also champagne pop consists 8 grams of product whereas,
faces illuminating powder contains 9 grams of product. It is definitely not
much of a difference but just to let you know.
Champagne pop comes in a metal
pan with the signature becca packaging, feels luxurious and has a mirror. Faces
illuminating powder comes in clear plastic pan, it is sturdy but sure feels
like a drugstore product.
So if you are on a budget or eyeing Becca’s Champagne Pop
for the longest time and cannot get hold of it, you should give faces illuminating
powder a go! It is a quality product for the price paid.
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
LOVE.
