Hello everyone! If you know me at all, you know I am
obsessed with eye shadows, I think they are one of the most important stuff you
gotta have, at least for a person with small eyes like me. Putting eye shadows
do transform the way your eyes look naturally and give an absolute amazing
dimension to them.
Few months ago, I came across this brand called “Juvia’s
Place”. It is a brand created by black women and is designed to suit medium to
deeper skin tones. The colours are highly pigmented and show up
on all skin tones, especially medium-dark skin tones. I really wanted to give
it a try as I heard amazing reviews about it and the palettes are affordable. The
brand has 3 palettes, as I chose Nubian 2 as it is a mix of gorgeous pop of
colors with some neutral shadows.
PRICE: 35USD (It is always on discount, so
that goes to 25USD), I got mine for INR2870 from an instagram seller
@internationalmakeup_ If you need anything that’s hard to get it here in India,
this is your destination. She offers the best prices and is the sweetest girl
ever!
PACKAGING: Impressive is the only word which comes to mind
when you see the palette in person. The shadows come in a bright yellow and
pink cardboard packaging, very fun and quirky. The packaging doesn’t feels
flimsy or cheap. There is no mirror in the palette.
Each eye shadow pan weighs 3.5
grams of product, which is a humongous quantity. Nubian 2 contains 4 matte and
8 metallic shadows.
This eye shadow palette is Paraben free and the brand does
not test on animals. The texture of the eye shadows is insane. The mattes feel
so soft with no fallout, and metallic shadows are dream. The texture is almost
like cream shadows, which are finely milled with zero chunkiness. They feel soo
soft and buttery smooth. And the pigment on them is insane. The main reason I picked this palette is for Cleopatra
and Egypt, such beautiful shades.
The swatches are all one single swipe with no primer.
If you like experimenting with some pop of color and want to
experience some pigment packed metallics, definitely give this a shot. I
somehow feel the metallics in here could be quite similar to Huda beauty rose
gold palette, though I don’t have that but the reviews I have read and heard
makes me feel so. The only difference is, shadows in nubian 2 does not feel
chunky.
Final thoughts, I LOVE THIS PALETTE. I highly recommend it,
for the price and the quality. I have many more reviews and hauls lined up, so
stay tuned ;)
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
LOVE.
